Steps for writing great books soon
1. Think of a great story it can be about something that happened in your life or something that you completely made up or something about someone elses' life! It's really up to you!
2. write your story i want to inform you that the computer is the best thing to use when you are writing your book if you want great results with being able to read them unless you have great handwriting
3. next Think of a title something catchy that also resembles and explains the story in one line
4. now do spell check if on the computer that is an important part
5. do your illustrations pictures are appealing to the eye makes your story interesting make a title picture to
These were very easy steps to starting a book :)
Alright now that you have covered those steps its time to go onto the advanced. I have been writing books before i even started pre-school so i know a lot about books.
EDITING-
What is editing?
Editing is mostly checking and reading over your book a couple times making sure that you don't have any mistakes. One of the worst possible things that could happen when someone is reading your book is when you misspell a word and they cant recognize what the word is. That is one of the most crucial parts to editing a book. So when you check it over make sure that you have a spell check or dictionary.
What are all of the parts to editing
1. Make sure you don't misspell any words if you don't know how to spell a word then you can use spell check or a dictionary.
2. After every period make sure you have a capital letter
3. Make sure all of your sentences are complete you don't want to have an incomplete sentence.
4. Make sure that all of your sentences make sense and have a noun and a verb (verb-action) (noun-person, place, thing and sometimes an idea).
5. Make sure you have a period after every sentence you don't want your sentences to run as in.... the dog ran i couldn't believe my eyes back at the house mom was cooking dinner it smelled good...... the dog ran, i couldn't believe my eyes! Back at the house mom was cooking dinner. It smelled good. Now say those two out loud witch one sounds correct?
6. Make sure you read over your book a couple time to assure that you didn't make any mistakes.
7. Make sure to capitalize the "I" in every sentence
Now if you happen to make a mistake its alright. It isn't the end of the world and i think you know that :) So have fun and start writing!!!!
